The DCMI Partnership Program is intended for organizations that want to associate themselves with DCMI and provide financial support to the activities of DCMI.

Partnership classes and fees

The options in this section are the ones that are open to Partners in 2007-2008. In 2008, further options will be included related to the organization of the Annual conference.


Platinum Partner

Fee to be paid to DCMI: USD 10,000 for one year

Benefits:

  • The name and a large logo (max. 270*90 pixels) of the Partner will be listed in the Platinum section of the Partner page on the DCMI Web site
  • The logo will be an active link to a page on the Partner's Web site
  • The Partner has the right to use the DCMI Platinum Partner logo on its Web site and printed marketing material
  • The name of the Partner will be mentioned in the opening address by the DCMI Managing Director at the annual Dublin Core event
  • The Partner has the right to distribute brochures at DCMI events

Gold Partner

Fee to be paid to DCMI: USD 5,000 for one year

Benefits:

  • The name and a small logo (max. 135*45 pixels) of the Partner will be listed in the Gold section of the Partner page on the DCMI Web site
  • The logo of the Partner will be an active link to a page on the Partner's Web site
  • The Partner has the right to use the DCMI Gold Partner logo on its Web site and printed marketing material
  • The Partner has the right to distribute brochures at DCMI events

Silver Partner

Fee to be paid to DCMI: USD 2,500 for one year

Benefits:

  • The name of the Partner will be listed in the Silver section of the Partner page on the DCMI Web site
  • The name of the Partner will be an active link to a page on the Partner's Web site
  • The Partner has the right to use the DCMI Silver Partner logo on its Web site and printed marketing material
  • The Partner has the right to distribute brochures at DCMI events

Supporter Partner

Fee to be paid to DCMI: USD 1,000 for one year

Benefits:

  • The name of the Partner will be listed in the Supporter section of the Partner page on the DCMI Web site

Activity Sponsor

Fee to be paid to DCMI: USD 5,000, to be negotiated on a case-by-case basis

Possible activities for sponsorship

  • DCMI Web site, or sections thereof
  • Teleconference infrastructure
  • DCMI events: supporting travel and subsistence cost of participants (e.g. from developing countries)
  • DCMI Task Groups: hosting meetings, supporting travel and subsistence cost for participants at meetings, paying for document production

Benefits:

  • The name and logo of the Activity Sponsor will appear on any materials related to the activity
  • The Activity Sponsor can issue a joint press release with DCMI to announce the meeting or activity

Local Event Partner

Fee to be paid to DCMI: USD 10,000 per event (conference or workshop) plus registration fee, travel and subsistence for one presenter appointed by DCMI

Specific condition: Submission of information on intended objective, program, content and target audience to DCMI for review and endorsement before announcement of the event.

This category is not intended to cover sponsorship for the Annual Dublin Core conference; for that event, sponsorship is arranged directly with the host of the conference. The host for the Annual Conference will set conditions, fee levels and benefits.

Benefits:

  • The event can be advertised as a "co-organized with DCMI"
  • DCMI will appoint one speaker to give a one-hour keynote address at the event
  • DCMI will include a link to the event together with the name and logo of the Local Event Partner on the Partner page on the DCMI Web site

Local Tutorial Partner

Fee to be paid to DCMI: USD USD 3,000 plus registration, travel and subsistence for one trainer appointed by DCMI per tutorial session of 1.5 hours, with a minimum of one and a maximum of five tutorial sessions per event.

Specific condition: Submission of information on intended objective, program, content and target audience to DCMI for review and endorsement before announcement of the event.

Benefits:

  • The event can be advertised as a "co-organized with DCMI"
  • DCMI will appoint up to five trainers to give DCMI tutorials
  • DCMI will include a link to the event together with the name and logo of the Local Tutorial Partner on the Partner page on the DCMI Web site

Application

An organisation wishing to become a DCMI Partner needs to contact the DCMI Managing Director and provide its name and address information, its products and/or services.

Conditions

The applicant needs to be an incorporated entity, represented for the purposes of the Partnership agreement by its authorised representative. The applicant needs to be involved in activities that support, promote or implement the use of Dublin Core metadata, to be demonstrated by authorised documentation describing these activities. In addition, the applicant needs to support the principles of DCMI as laid down in:
